A Family Tradition
In 1968, Sam Petrides, an ambitious immigrant from Rhodes, Greece, and his wife, Despina, opened their first restaurant in the vibrant city of Hartford, CT, marking the beginning of a remarkable culinary journey. As early pioneers of "New England Style Pizza," they introduced a unique twist on traditional Greek flavors, quickly becoming local favorites. Over the years, Sam and Despina expanded their horizons, establishing several successful pizza restaurants throughout Connecticut, and adding locations in Palmer and Holyoke, MA. Each restaurant became renowned for its distinctive Greek-inspired pizzas and the warm, welcoming atmosphere they meticulously crafted. Their dedication and innovative approach not only made them well-known figures in the region but also secured a lasting family tradition, with their eateries becoming cherished landmarks in their communities.
